Samsung Galaxy S22 Design

Now that we have seen the interior of the three new models of the Samsung Galaxy S22, it is time to analyze its exterior design. And it is that when we said that Samsung has taken the base of the S21 we are not exaggerating, because the basic design of the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus is very similar to that of the Galaxy S21 . However, where Samsung has innovated has been in the design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, integrating the S Pen at the bottom of the phone and with all its cameras located separately on the back of the body.

When it comes to unlocking, there seems to be no more room for innovation beyond facial recognition and ultrasonic fingerprint sensors under the smartphone screen. Innovation in this sense may be found in the screens, but not in their technology (also) if not in their material, the Gorilla Glass Victus Plus ( the most resistant glass manufactured today ). Samsung Galaxy S22 screens

If we continue to analyze the screens of the new Samsung, we must highlight their sizes, which despite being different for the three models ( 6.8”, 6.6”, 6.1” ) use almost the same amoled technology. Another coincidence is that the screens of the three Galaxy S22 use the new “Vision Booster” function (exclusive to Samsung) to adjust the colors of the screen so that it looks better in different lighting conditions.

As for what each model offers us separately, the screens of the S22 and S22 Plus models have an FHD resolution , a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz. The palm in this sense is, of course, the Galaxy S22 Ultra that not only uses the largest QHD + screen (6.8 inches), but also has curved edges on the left and right . And perhaps this would be a double-edged sword, due to the ability to absorb the phone’s battery, if it weren’t for the fact that this same screen can lower its refresh rate to 1 Hz to barely consume battery .

Samsung Galaxy S22 cameras

One of the most anticipated aspects of the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 is knowing the new photographic section of the company’s high-end phone. At this point, for better or worse for many, both the S22 and S22 Plus have the same cameras . These are: a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. As far as the selfie camera is concerned, its 10 MP lens can disappoint, although we must not forget the Samsung technology behind it.

With the S22 Ultra, things change (and a lot) taking the photographic section of Samsung’s top model to a level capable of competing with the latest iPhone . A 108MP main camera, two 10MP telephoto cameras with 3x and 10x optical zoom respectively, topped on the front by a 40MP selfie camera.

But not everything is the cameras, the new Samsung also has to do with the software. The new technology dubbed ” Nightography ” will delight those who want to photograph the interior of a party in the middle of the night as if it were daytime. But the thing does not end here, because if what you like is to record videos and reels, the new automatic video framing mode that allows the phone to track up to ten people in one shot at a time.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Battery and Charging

This may be the first setback for the Samsung Galaxy S22 and we are not used to losing improvements and features from one year to the next. In this sense, the batteries for the S22 and S22 Plus models have been reduced to 3,700 mAh and 4,500 mAh respectively. On the other hand, there is no change in the capacity of the S22 Ultra, which maintains its 5,000 mAh battery.

As far as charging speeds are concerned, the base Samsung S22 maintains 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. On the other hand, the S22 Plus and S22 Ultra models gain a much improved 45W cable charge , which is bittersweet news, since since the phones do not come with a charger, we will have to get a specific one powerful enough.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: S Pen

The latest and greatest thing about this Samsung Galaxy S22 release is the S Pen that is built into the S22 Ultra design and price , instead of being a separate accessory like last year.

If you’ve used the S21 Ultra’s S Pen before, or have used another kind of smart pen, know that this is by far the most responsive one Samsung has ever made. Making using it almost like writing or doodling on paper in terms of precision and the feelings it expresses. It sounds weird, but once you try it you won’t be able to stop using it.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: Conclusion

All in all, it seems that given its specs, the Galaxy S22 will undoubtedly be destined to take a place in the best phones of 2022 lists with at least two of its three models. However, the main unknown is the exact position that the S22 models will have on this list.

And it is that the fact that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 is at the beginning of the year implies that there are still quite a few months left for brands like Apple, Huawei or even Google to release their phones. Will they be better than the new Samsung? Will you be able to stay ahead of the high mark with good value for money? Follow the Cash Converters blog to find out about this and where to buy them at the best price.
