- 500g orange juice
- 5 eggs
- 180g sugar
How to prepare orange flan
In a saucepan pour 4 tablespoons of sugar and a little water. We take to the fire. When the sugar begins to brown, pour the caramel into the flan mould, the caramel should be slightly coloured.
Beat the eggs together with the sugar, until the sugar is completely integrated.
Add the orange juice and continue beating until all the ingredients are well mixed.
Pour the flan mixture over the caramel and cover the mold with aluminum foil. With the oven preheated to 180º heat up and down, place two fingers of water in the oven source and introduce the flan mold inside. Let bake for 30 minutes at 180º, heat up and down.
Once the time has elapsed, remove the mold from the oven, let it cool to room temperature and place the orange flan in the fridge until it is very cold.
Tips for preparing orange flan
The caramel that we prepare should not be very dark, once we see that the sugar takes on a little color, we pour the caramel into the mold.
The ingredients of the orange flan must be beaten very well so that all the ingredients are mixed equally.
It is advisable to let the flan rest overnight in the fridge so that the next day it has much more flavor and is very cold.
